About
The Green Machine is a 10 passenger Dodge Sprinter (made by Mercedes). It is 5 cylinders, turbo fuel injected, and built to run on diesel fuel. Contrary to common belief, there is no conversion required for running a diesel engine on biodiesel; all you have to do is fill it up! The Green Machine gets @ 25 miles to the gallon, and handles like a dream. Instead of bench seats she has captain's seats, and tons of leg and head space. In fact, you can actually get up and dance inside, should you be so moved. And you are likely to feel like moving, thanks to the epic sound system created and installed by Colt Briner specifically to offer a balanced, clear sound while traveling, and designed to bump when we stop and open up the back. The Green Machine brings the party with her in other ways too. She has ample cargo space for loading up cases of wine while you are tasting, and a heavy duty trailer hitch for towing camping and festival gear to more involved destinations.
The Green Machine was created to bring a fun, relaxed, and greener alternative to the other wine tours available, and to help share the positive results of sustainable agriculture with as many people as we can. Every effort is worthwhile, and collectively we CAN make a differene.
